I went to soccer, my parents went to meet with the new principal. I kicked and passed, all the time wondering how the meeting would. go. I got back a full report.
He's open to change. I'd like to change things. He wants to "loosen up" the school a bit. I've got no problem with that. He believes in tracking. I say tracking is a symptom of a larger problem: poor teaching. He likes to read education reform books. I say don't reform, rethink. He wants to talk to me already. That should be interesting.
He looks promising. We need to work together, not fight each other. We both have the same goals, right? If change is needed, change will come. Will you fight it or accept it? The choice is up to you.
