Straw is “the GNOME 2 desktop news aggregator” and functions very much like NetNewsWire. It uses some of Mark Pilgrim’s great little RSS tools (rssparser, rssfinder, etc.) and BerkeleyDB for storage. Linux, Python, GPL. Nice!
I love apps like this that take all the pieces lying around and glue them together.
