BloggerCon. Old friends. New friends. Tantek’s tips toward taking Stanford.

Many compliments on this blog. Lots of people seem to be reading it.

Lessig gives the session on law, which I attend. Even though it is not a class, he manages to cold-call me when I’m not paying attention. I struggle to get a hint about what the question I’m supposed to be answering is and apparently I do serviceably well.

Later, in the courtyard, Lessig stops by a conversation I’m having. He tells the group about this blog (‘Interesting stuff,’ he says, ‘about cute girls in the courtyard and so on’) and the new social norm I’ve created about not talking about blog stuff in real life. Someone else asks me how this norm is going. ‘Apparently not well,’ I reply, ‘seeing that professors come up and talk about cute girls in the courtyard.’
